Acerola, also called Barbados cherry, is a very nutritious fruit. It is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. The powder contains as much as 20% of this valuable vitamin. Acerola also contains β-carotene, B vitamins and the trace amounts of such chemical elements as calcium and iron. There is also quercetin which has anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties. Thanks to a high content of polyphenols, anthocyanins and flavonoids, acerola protects body cells from oxidative stress.

Keep in a cool and dry place. Due to its high level of hygroscopicity, keep containers tightly closed.

How to use:

Acerola can be added to, e.g. shakes, desserts, drinks or fruit preserves. It should not be subject to thermal processing as it has negative effect on health-promoting compounds it contains. It is recommended to take around 5 g of the acerola powder a day.
